LET GOD BE TRUE!

May 22, 2012 – Tuesday: 1Kings 8, 2Chronicles 5, Psalm 99, Romans 3

S.       Romans 3:3-4  [Speaking of the Jewish people who were writing out God’s Words] What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar.

O.       God’s Word is TRUTH… my Father DOES WHAT HE SAYS - if you believe Him, and if you don’t!

Many have tried to compare The Bible to “history books” or other “religious writings” – The Bible is the only Book that has stood the test of time. It is still a “best seller” – with the largest sales of any book in history.

A.       If The Bible were found to be anything less than “truth” – and the inspired word of God - where would we be? We must believe God’s Word – and by faith accept that what we read is exactly what God meant for us to know about Him, and His way of doing things.

P.       Father-God, thank You for Your written Word. Thank You for Your Son Jesus, who is that Living example that Your Word is Truth. Thank You for Holy Spirit who teaches us Your Word, and gives revelation. Please give me an increasing thirst for Your Word, that grows daily – until I have no desire for anything else in my life.

May 21, 2012 – Monday: 1Kings 7, 2Chronicles 4, Psalm 98, Romans 2

S.       Romans 2:19-21  AMP “And if you are confident that you [yourself] are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, and [that You are] a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the childish, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— 21 Well then, you who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you teach against stealing, do you steal (take what does not really belong to you)?”

Romans 2:19-21 NLT  You are convinced that you are a guide for the blind and a light for people who are lost in darkness. 20 You think you can instruct the ignorant and teach children the ways of God. For you are certain that God’s law gives you complete knowledge and truth.  21 Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal, but do you steal?

O.       Speaking to teachers, I think that Paul was saying…  that those who teach (me included) need to pay attention to what they say – and be sure to LIVE what we teach.

If we TEACH THE LAW – then we must LIVE BY THE LAW!

A.       I am daily thankful that JESUS came and fulfilled the law for me, and that we now live under a New Covenant of HIS GRACE!!!  I NEED His Grace every day of my life – and I am happy to live there. J

P.       Thank You Father, for Your Son Jesus. Thank You Jesus for being willing to die in my place. Thank You for Mercy. Thank You for Your Grace that enables me through every day.
